Leading Global Manufacturer and QAD Customer Turns Sales Intelligence into Sales Growth

The Décor Corporation, based in Melbourne , Australia , is a leading Australian manufacturer of kitchenware and various lifestyle products. In 2004 Décor began mapping a new sales strategy, which required improved analysis and accuracy of sales information for reporting and planning.

The company wanted the ability to clearly view and analyze sales against budget, comparative to last year, as well as growth year by year and month to date. Décor also wanted to increase their agility in the market-enable rapid response to increases/decreases in product line sales to effectively decrease waste, increase production and reduce costs. Lastly, the company wanted to achieve unity with their customers-improve customer services levels through increased flexibility in the warehouse.

Already a QAD customer using QAD MFG/PRO, Décor knew the sales data it needed to achieve these goals was in the enterprise software, but could not easily access it for data analysis.

With the QAD Business Intelligence (QAD BI) module, Décor Corporation found a way to improve the collection of sales intelligence to boost sales through clear analysis of data and trends. QAD BI also provided the company a way to allocate resource more efficiently, which led to decreased costs and increased productivity. QAD BI enabled Décor to deliver superior sales tools to the field that helped increase agility and maintain the company's competitive edge in the marketplace. The Décor sales team can now see business-critical data for analysis and creation of future sales plans-a unified strategy the company feels confident will significantly increase sales over a six month period. In just the first three months, the company has already met aggressive sales goals with the new tool.
