QAD .NET User Interface Boosts Productivity and the User Experience
If you have not yet seen the new QAD .NET User Interface (QAD .NET UI) released in March 2006, experiencing this rich UI is a must. QAD is providing powerful new tools such as: ad-hoc queries; tree-structure menus; integration to 3rd party desktop applications like Excel; and drag and drop capabilities. This new user interface will provide QAD life sciences customers the ability to respond quickly and accurately to their own customers. It will allow you critical access to important data and will empower your users to be more productive.
QAD .NET UI leverages the familiar 'windows' look and feel, allowing new users to ramp up quickly as they learn to navigate QAD applications. Access will be given to all programs in QAD MFG/PRO through an intuitive tree-view structure, complete with folders. The programs you most frequently access can be saved into your 'Favorites' folder, which can be organized with as many or as few items as you need to get your job done. The availability of keyword searches make finding all programs related to 'Item cost' a snap. Don't worry, for those of you attached to program names or filenames and numbers, you can still navigate that way!
The ability to access multiple applications at once will improve productivity as screens can be configured to more easily facilitate tasks. You can combine multiple, relevant screens into one window, allowing you to perform tasks while having supporting data available in one screen.
Extracting information from the system has never been easier. The new browses and lookups are engineered to perform like spreadsheets. Advanced search capabilities allow you to set any number of conditions for a search, including multiple conditions on one field. The search supports logic such as 'begins with' or 'greater than, less than, equal to.' Once the proper data has been returned, you can hide columns, rearrange them or resize them to suit your needs. These configured browses can be given a name and saved as a 'Favorite' and made available for reuse. Browse forms and search criteria can be shared, or set up and pushed to groups based on their roles and security levels. The new user interface supports the exporting of your QAD MFG/PRO data to Excel and allows you to maintain formatting criteria between the two applications.
QAD .NET UI provides QAD applications with easy UI deployment and better usability, enhancing the user experience. An improved user experience will allow you to:
Better leverage the functionality provided by QAD applications
Reduce the learning curve for new employees
Enhance the productivity of your users by putting the tools they need to do their jobs and the relevant supporting information at their finger tips.
