Progress Toward A Perfect Lean Market

OEMs and automotive suppliers recently weighed in on the updated Global MMOG/LE  guideline in the September/October 2006 issue of AIAG’s Actionline magazine. In the article titled “Progress Toward a Perfect Lean Market,” QAD customers Faurecia, JCC and TRW discussed the benefits MMOG/LE has brought to their individual organizations as well as to the industry.

Enterprise technology helps get the right information to companies at the right time, creating what economists would call a “perfect market” in which participants compete effectively and efficiently.  For manufacturers, the right supply-and-demand information at the right time can mean the difference between lean and wasteful operations.

Global MMOG/LE guidelines indicate where technology must be applied because manual procedures won’t lead to the fast, consistent operations required for world-class performance in today’s automotive industry.

Learn how JCC, a local Chinese supplier, implemented the global MMOG/LE in order to receive their Ford Q1 status.  By implementing the global MMOG/LE, JCC was able to reduce raw material and finished goods inventory by 50 percent. View the full case study.
