Regulatory compliance, prevalent in all areas of life sciences manufacturing, also places a heavy burden in the distribution and logistics management of those products. The regulations vary by country and product, and the penalties for non-compliance can be severe.

QAD provides real-time updates to the content as announcements and publications are confirmed. We have in-house content management professionals that monitor over 67 countries around the globe. The solution monitors several official lists from global regulatory agencies including: UN Denied Party, UN Terrorist, EU Council Regulation (Taliban), EU Terrorist, OFAC, Specially Designated Nationals (Office Of Foreign Asset Controls), Department of State Debarred Parties, Department of State Chemical & Biological Weapons Proliferators, Department of State Missile Proliferators, Department of State Foreign, Canadian Economic Sanctions, BIS / UN Unverified (Bureau Industry Security / United Nations), METI Japanese Proliferators Concerns, OFAC NSPLC (Palestinian Legislative Council), United Kingdom Proliferation Concerns (UKPC). User defined lists can be added to QAD Trade Compliance to screen shipments for competitive and commercial reasons. Correct and current classification codes, including up-to-date HTS, Schedule B, Taric and ICN codes, are vital for international trade functions. The solution complies with UN classifications for the movement of dangerous goods and hazardous materials. It produces the appropriate transportation documents for IMO, ADR and IATA regulated HazMat shipments. QAD Trade Compliance also helps plan your loads and ensures the compatibility of goods in transit.

Screening involves the review of names, addresses and alternate spellings or pronunciations of trading partners, carriers, freight forwarders, drop-ship locations and anyone else involved in the transaction. It takes place prior to acceptance, prior to picking, prior to shipment and at any other times as needed in the fulfillment cycle. Automated exception-based reporting ensures that failure notifications are immediately sent to your nominated compliance officer for manual review. QAD Trade Compliance maintains a date, time and signature stamp audit of all failures and resolutions, so you can demonstrate due diligence if audited.
